Commerce Cloud is an e-commerce platform from Salesforce, comprised of Salesforce B2C Commerce and Salesforce B2B Commerce, which are often used together to deliver end to end unified commerce.
Part of the Magnolia Commerce Connector Pack, the Salesforce Commerce Cloud connector allows for fast and easy integration of Magnolia and Salesforce e-commerce platform (API and PWA Kit). You can use e-commerce content as if it were native Magnolia content, while keeping strong cataloging features and order functionality of the Salesforce solution.
The connector provides, among others, the following features out-of-the-box:
- Apps to view and manage products, product catalogs and product categories from Salesforce directly in Magnolia.
- REST APIs for cart and checkout, and to serve products and categories.
- Searchable products and categories, e-commerce templating functions for accessing products and other e-commerce content from CMS templates.
- Local cache mechanism and e-commerce integration registry to serve your needs.
The shopping experiences you create are delivered via a performant modern web app thanks to the PWA Kit. The Salesforce PWA Kit and Managed Runtime provide a powerful modern platform for React-based frontend development. Developers have the flexibility to implement frontends according to their technical preferences. Authors gain full editorial control in headless PWA projects with the Magnolia React Editor.
